2024 Viognier
2024 Viognier | Marcella Vineyard | Certified Sustainable
This wine is a refreshing expression of Yakima Valley terroir, offering a beautiful balance of ripe tropical fruit and minerality. Notes of juicy pineapple and sweet fruit blossoms lead the way, complemented by a bright touch of lemon and an essence of the Yakima Valley’s granite and river stone.
Fermented and aged in our Diamante concrete tank (the first time for our Vio!), the sur lie aging gives the palate texture and lends weight and depth to the wine. We are thrilled with this fresh approach to one of our favs.
$26 retail, club $20.80.

Wine Profile
Vineyard Notes
Marcella is defined by very steep southwest exposure and is a very warm-to-hot site, which is perfect for ripening our white rhone varieties. Wines from Marcella tend to be a little softer and more fruit forward than many other vineyard sites in the valley. Originally planted to Merlot in 1997, plantings were expanded in 2003 to include: Cinsault, Viognier, Roussanne, Sauvignon Blanc, Cabernet Sauvignon and Mourvedre. The Rawn family began farming this 10-acre parcel in 2011. Elevation 1075.
