Fortuity Cellars

2020 Rosé of Cinsault

2020 Rosé of Cinsault

90 Points, Owen Bargreen.

This is a pale pink wine, whose color is compatible with that of pink grapefruit juice. On the nose strawberry and melon dance out of the glass followed by hints of rose water, baby powder and spun sugar. At a closer look, whispers of grapefruit and jasmine are revealed. On the palate this wine is soft and juicy. High amounts of acid are well integrated with the body of the wine, making this wine incredibly easy to drink.

Food pairings: Perfect with sushi, salmon and charcuterie.

Vineyard Notes
Marcella is defined by very steep southwest exposure and is a very warm-to-hot site, which is perfect for ripening our white rhone varieties. Wines from Marcella tend to be a little softer and more fruit forward than many other vineyard sites in the valley. Originally planted to Merlot in 1997, plantings were expanded in 2003 to include: Cinsault, Viognier, Roussanne, Sauvignon Blanc, Cabernet Sauvignon and Mourvedre. The Rawn family began farming this 10-acre parcel in 2011. Elevation 1075.
Food Pairing Notes
Sushi, charcuterie, seared tuna and anything off the grill!
